The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife is one of three fantasy titles on our chart, a palace story with a mythological edge.

The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife: what happens

Prince Theron returns home to find that his father has remarried. The new queen, Lysandra, is the woman who has been appearing in his dreams.

Shared visions draw the two of them into an affair that the court would never forgive. When they are discovered and banished, the king, who never managed to satisfy his wife, makes an offer nobody expects: the queen and the crown, together.

First chapter, free: the homecoming

The opening chapter brings Theron back to the palace and puts him face to face with the woman from his dreams, now his stepmother.

After the free part (3–5): discovery and exile

The paid chapters move from secret meetings to discovery, banishment and the king's surprising decision.
