Candy Shorts app and video: how to watch on any device

Many people look for a Candy Shorts app in their phone's store and do not find one. That is expected: Candy Shorts is part of the candy.ai website, and it works in the browser on every device.

Short answer

There is no separate store app. Open candy.ai in your browser, and add it to your home screen if you want an app-like icon. The videos are in portrait, made for phones.

Is there a Candy Shorts app?

Candy AI does not list a Candy Shorts app in the Apple or Google stores. The series play on candy.ai in any modern browser, including Safari and Chrome on phones.

Apps in the stores that use the Candy Shorts name are not official. Avoid installing them.

Add Candy Shorts to your home screen

  1. On iPhone: in Safari, load candy.ai, press the Share icon and choose Add to Home Screen.
  2. On Android: open candy.ai in Chrome, tap the menu, then Add to Home screen or Install.
  3. On a computer: bookmark candy.ai; some browsers also offer Install as an app.

The icon opens the site in full screen, which feels much like an app, and you stay logged in.

The video format

Candy Shorts chapters are vertical videos, a minute or two each, designed for a phone held upright. On a desktop they appear as a tall column in the middle of the screen. Each chapter is a separate video, and the next one is offered at the end.

Some series also have a short preview clip, shown on the library page. We display the latest of them on the home page and on the new this week list.

Captions in seven languages

Every series has captions in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese, selectable in the player. That is why some titles are searched in translation, such as Terapia di coppia con Margot Vey for Couples Therapy With Margot Vey.

Video quality and data use

As there are no downloads, you need an internet connection while watching. Short chapters make it easy to watch a few minutes at a time.

One account, every device

Your Candy AI account is the same on phone, tablet and computer, because everything happens on the website. Log in on any device and carry on where you were, for example starting a series on the phone and finishing it on a laptop.

Watching on a phone: practical tips

  • Hold the phone upright: the chapters are made for portrait, so landscape only adds black bars.
  • Turn on captions if you watch in public or with the sound off; seven languages are available.
  • Log in once and stay logged in, especially if you watch Spicy series, which are hidden otherwise.
  • Use the home-screen icon rather than searching for the site each time; it avoids landing on fake pages.

Fake Candy Shorts apps

Apps and APK files using the Candy Shorts name or Candy AI posters are not made by Candy AI. Some show advertising, some ask for payment details and some are malware. The only official way to watch is the website; the safety page covers payments and the leaks page covers fake players.

Browser or app: what you lose and what you keep

Watching in the browser means no automatic updates to install and nothing in your phone's app list. You keep everything that matters: the full catalogue, the free chapters, captions and your unlocked episodes, all tied to your Candy AI login. The only thing missing compared with a native app is offline viewing, which Candy AI does not offer anywhere.

From the top of the charts

Four open series and four Spicy ones taken from high on the search charts. Each tile opens a page with the episode list and the full token cost.
